One of the most celebrated features of Biderosa is the sequence of five beaches separated by small rocky headlands and immersed in the pine forest. Each beach has its own character, ranging from more open stretches to intimate coves sheltered by vegetation.

The interior of the reserve contains the Sa Curcurica coastal lagoon, one of the most important wetland habitats on the Orosei coast. The lagoon is home to a resident colony of flamingos, which can often be observed wading in the shallow brackish water alongside herons and other coastal wading birds. This is one of the very few spots in the Gulf of Orosei where flamingos can be seen in the wild — a highlight for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.

Beyond the beaches, the reserve is characterised by a vast Mediterranean pine forest crossed by nature trails. The paths wind through the dunes, along the lagoon edges and through the scrubland, offering a complete immersion in one of the last undisturbed coastal environments of eastern Sardinia.

To protect the fragile ecosystem of the reserve, access to Biderosa is strictly limited by a daily ticket system. Only a fixed number of visitors are permitted each day, which means the beaches remain uncrowded and the wildlife undisturbed. Booking in advance is essential, especially between June and September.
